A Man on a Rock

Come closer, I have things to tell you.. Stay awhile, and listen
Invisible things, intimate things
Not mere speculation, but stories.
Of wit and coincidence to tie the tails of long unanswered questions.
Mysteries I do percieve, beyond that what you may believe.. but stretch your thinking on this day, and leave with much more than you came.
The air you breath must shake the masks, so it can drop and create cracks.
Then you can carry on alone, away from dials and shocks and bones.
Upon a half-made sunken globe, and life that stews upon it, what do you seek to know and learn? By chance the shift in climate?

You see..
A rock is an excellent place to stop and sit.
On a stone, a man may dream alone
Ive been perched on this flat of Earth
For many years, perhaps since birth
Perhaps my moments passed unnoticed, dismissed by some as hocus pocus. But I do enjoy my station, its patient hibernation. I do appreciate its class, its history is long and vast.
You think because you make a splash, my time is halved in instant?
Ive been upon this rock so long Im reflecting its image.
I am the stone, the dotted rock, both heavy and tremendous. I am the rock that shakes the blocks and bridges gaps relentless.
My theories became crystallized and proven true through storm and eyes, over the great span of years, my surface attracts natures tears.. absorbs them and soothes all the same, I am this stone you know my name. But do I sense a trace of doubt of what my essence is about?
I stand and stabalize the home, my point of reference is strong. A pillar, marble, solid block.. From lava hot, a molten rock. I am the stone so pay respect, alone, in group, I know no debt. I am the rocks that scatter Earth, a blessing of known universe.
