Seeds.. Seeds are usually hard in exterior, but within that hard and protective shell lies something different, something more. Within the shell of a seed lies the potential of the plants entirity. Though the seed is small, it harbors in itself possibility to grow, sometimes exponentially in size and wonder.
You see to grow is not so easy.. it takes investment, it takes support, it takes proper climate and conditions. It takes consistency as well. If you plant an orange tree on the banks of the Mississippi river, I'm sorry to say it will not bloom. If you take an orchard out into the arctic winds, it will shrivel and die. Many times seeds scatter, they drift, and thier potential over time fades.
Yet, there are those seeds that find the soil, harbor in it and begin their ascent. Their rough exterior softens, cracks, and buds forth a new life form. Then through some unknown pull, the seeming desire for life itself, the plant emerges from its place of planting; deepening its roots, and positioning itself to higher ground. Some trees, such as maples.. grow to high heights, majestic, they are the giants among nature, they age in grace, and become more experienced through the seasons. Other plant life are smaller, more delicate, and have diffrent qualities. They may only last a single day in the harshness of the elements.
I say that we, as humans, are similar to seeds. If we do not recieve proper care, education, nourishment.. our seeds will not sprout, they will remain a mystery in the book of untold potential. As the seed struggles to birth from soil, we too endure much in life and struggle in pursuit of contentment, fulfillment, prosperity. We take chances, win. We take risks, and perhaps fail. Perhaps we branch out, perhaps we bloom forth. But we all put forth an effort in this life and that, to me, is commendable.
In my own life perhaps I have missed 1000 and 1 opportunities, perhaps I have slept and discarded my greatest seeds. Still, when I am not beside myself I see such greatness and possibility for growth. For prosperity and well being. We all have our own nature, we are all different.. but we have much in common, like plants harboring the Earth we harbor each other in our hearts, our memories, our daily endeavours.
Anyone who finds truth in this, I call you to live a good life, take chances, start today.. there is no better time than the moment.. to create momentum, and possibilities for growth, for yourself and others. Be You! Be bold! and make attempts daily to plant seeds.
